Abstract
Purpose – The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of cultural intelligence towards international students’ satisfaction in Malaysia IHLs. Cultural intelligence is still a relatively new concept especially with the international students who are pursuing their study in Malaysia IHLs. Based on the thorough review of previous studies, this paper intensely depends on the cultural intelligence towards international students’ satisfaction on services that provided for them. Design/Methodology – This current study will discuss or focus specifically on international students’ satisfaction who are pursuing their studies in Malaysia IHLs. The researcher will highlight the new interesting topic on CQ which is related with international students in this country. The implication for future research, discussion, and overall conclusion are also presented at the end of the paper. Finding – As the conclusion, the researcher has proposed the framework which conceptualizes the independent variable which is CQ and it’s become the major contributor to the satisfaction among international students in Malaysia IHLs. Furthermore, the management also needs to know whether international students are successfully adjusted and fit with the pristine environment while pursuing their higher education in this country. Addressing the problem of cultural differences in the learning process is very important among international students. Hence, the cultural intelligence (CQ) can help and lead the international students to deal with cross-cultural complexities. Satisfied students will promote the IHLs by positive word of mouth (WOM) which will affect the institution’s reputation. However, to satisfy customers from different background and different culture will be even more difficult. Therefore, it is very crucial for the IHLs in Malaysia particularly to identify whether the international students are fully satisfied with their needs and wants as well as the services that provided to them.

Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to share the conceptual overview of the role that Islamic modes of finance can play in the reduction of poverty. The underpinning principles of Islamic finance modes is the adherence of Islamic values and to promote economic and social justice in the society. This study is aimed at providing insights on the prevailing poverty reduction strategies and their respective impact on poverty eradicate alongside proposing an alternative Islamic model of poverty reduction. For this purpose, the present study overviews the existing literature and textual analysis of the subject to emphasize the significance of poverty as an issue around the globe along with the critical review of the strategies currently considered to eradicate poverty. Poverty has now been emerged as a global phenomenon, which is common across many nations and, perhaps, not surprisingly, a tough challenge to governments and community development-oriented organizations which have been striving to eradicate. The present paper is, therefore, an effort to propose a possible alternative approach for poverty reduction. Subsequently, some discussion has been made on the application of Islamic approaches of welfare and poverty reduction. Islam, as a religion, encourages healthy competition, private ownership, and allows demand and supply rule of working independently. Islamic approach to poverty reduction has multiple facets and it is aimed at reducing the gap between haves and have not’s through optimum circulation of wealth in the economy and by restricting capital to generate capital and allowing other factors of production along with the risk of loss to play their due role. Keeping in view the prevailing models of poverty reduction and critical evaluation of these models, the study has proposed Islamic modes of finance as a workable plan to reduce poverty and spread social justice in the society.

Here, it is believed that the use of mobile applications in education have many benefits. This is because applications enable students to visualize what being learned throughout their learning process which makes learning more effective for them. This study describes the use of an instructional design model to design and develop an application for learning Arabic language and improve its proficiency. The use of the combination of Kemp model and Gerlach & Ely model is proposed in developing the application.

DOI:
doi.org/10.32861/jssr.spi4.71.79
Abstract
One of the major problems in learning statistics is due to the learning decontextualized from the real world experience. The students are unable to apply statistical knowledge learnt in real world upon completion of the course. The authentic learning is viewed as a favourable approach in statistics delivery to overcome the problem. However, implementing authentic learning in online platform can be extremely resource intensive and costly to develop. Therefore this paper looked into an innovative and cost effective approach to incorporate the nine critical characteristics of Authentic Learning Model by Herrington and Oliver (2000), underpinned by Vygotsky (1978) Social Development Theory and Lave and Wenger (1991) Situated Learning Theory to develop an online authentic learning environment (OnALE) that foster students’ knowledge construction in learning inferential statistics among non-statistics major undergraduates. This environment is established in a social learning network, Edmodo by incorporating Web 2.0 technologies. Perception survey done indicates that OnALE assisted students learning.

Abstract
Saudi ports, which are one of the busiest seaports in the world and the biggest ports in the Middle East region, have recently encountered a critical problem of overstock or accumulation of goods. It is imperative that these ports have the capacity to release cargoes and goods timely. However, the inadequacy in human resource practices has resulted in dissatisfaction and low performance among cargo employees. Moreover, the relationships of human resource practices, job satisfaction, and job performance within the context of Middle East region, remain underexplored. Addressing that, this study will evaluate the mediating effect of job satisfaction in the relationship between human resource practices (i.e., training and development, reward, job analysis, recruitment and selection, social support, employee relations, and employees’ empowerment) and job performance among cargo employees in Saudi Ports Authority with respect to Adams’ Equity Theory and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs using the questionnaire survey approach.
